Alton Simpson, Ph.D. is an independent comic book writer, publisher, filmmaker, and media creator best known for creating the popular horror-crime comic universe Vampires of New Jersey. Often described as "True Blood meets The Sopranos," his shared comic universe explores supernatural factions clashing with organized crime.

Simpson is widely recognized in the indie comic industry for his highly successful crowdfunding strategies. He has raised over $160,000 across more than 10 campaigns on platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo.
Print Distribution: His graphic novels have shipped over 10,000 copies globally. He frequently holds highly successful sold-out book signings and sold out at Kevin Smith’s famous comic shop, Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash, in Red Bank, New Jersey.
Film Adaptation: Leveraging his background in film, he successfully crowdfunded a Vampires of New Jersey prequel short film to act as a proof-of-concept for a larger cinematic or streaming series.
Professional & Academic Background
In addition to his creative endeavors, Dr. Simpson holds a Ph.D. in Management of Information Systems from Walden University, where his 2018 doctoral dissertation focused on small business profitability. He also works as a Senior Adjunct Professor and is a certified Salesforce AI Associate.
